Welcome to the MaTISSE Lab
at the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering
at the University of Prince Edward Island

We are the MaTISSE Lab, an interdisciplinary materials design, characterization, and processing research initiative based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We investigate novel materials for sustainable applications, including renewable energy systems, life cycle assessment, corrosion, materials degradation and asset management in harsh environments. We welcome applied, industry-driven collaborations and have a passion for the inclusive training of future engineering leaders.
